My heart was beating so hard in my chest it deafened everything around me. I stood there my eyes not leaving him for if I did I was so afraid he'd disappear. Please someone, can it be? Has my dear friend returned from the ashes and is now whole?
When he started to leave with the healers and walked past me I believed he had forgotten me. I am not a telepath like him but I tried to reach him like I reached him at Gol. As he began to slow his pace he suddendly stopped and turned around.
My heart, oh my heart. It is him, he is looking at me now with eyes of velvet brown. He removed his hood and spoke, to hear words from those precious lips. I never thought to hear them again.
He tried to remember and faltered for only a while when he looked up at me. I could sense his presence in my mind. It was a glowing ember of light that flowed around me and in me.
Then he said the word I shall never forget which made my heart sing.
Your name is Jim.
That was when I knew he had come home.
