It isn't fair that our life together has come to this.

I know you did it for me, but I am still upset.

Always leaping before you look, trying to spare me from danger.

You are the love of my life and it pains me not to touch you one more time.

All I have now is this memory of you, and the cold touch of glass that separates us.

Never shall I forget us dear soul.

I will treasure the days we spent together as partners.

And I shall meet you in that glorious place.

Thank you chere Jeanne...I tried to change the image slightly..flipped it...gave it a soft glow...I do remember somewhere that in the third film...not sure if they refilmed the death sequence in a different angle but you seem to see Jim holding his hand more towards Spock than in the 2nd film...like he wants to touch him so badly it hurts..I do believe it was on youtube somewhere...something someone observed...hmmm..thanks again for commenting...

Already my eyes fill with tears here; do you know I cannot bring myself to watch this scene in the film? I own the DVD, I've seen the film at least 25 times, but over the past few years here I cannot watch this scene, it destroys me everytime...the poetry is so haunting...yes, the tears are falling even as I write this...it's amazing how sad it all makes me feel, "just a movie", "just fictional characters"...yet why do I feel their pain so keenly? It's a lovely, lovely poem...
